Back in 1970, the IK Sävehof club kicked off what we now know as the Partille Cup in the little town of Partille, right outside Gothenburg, Sweden. Fast forward to today, the tourney lives in Gothenburg itself (since 2001) and has welcomed over 400,000 players from 90 different countries—sasa, that’s global! Although Kenya’s own national handball scene is still growing, the Cup’s blend of young talent and fierce competition puts it on every fan’s radar.
