There are three ways to see odds: decimal, fractional and moneyline.
- Decimal odds are common on online sportsbooks.
- Fractional odds are big in the UK.
- Moneyline odds are the go-to in the US.
Decimal Odds Simplified
Decimal odds show your total return per unit staked. If you bet KSh12,980 at 2.50, you’d get back KSh32,450 (12,980×2.50). To find your payout, multiply your stake by the odds—easy peasy for both NFL and EPL bets.
Fractional Odds Made Easy
Fractional odds look like 3/1 or 5/2. The first number is your profit, the second is your stake. At 3/1, a KSh12,980 punt wins you KSh38,940 (12,980×3). You calculate profit by stake × numerator ÷ denominator.
Moneyline Odds Explained
moneyline odds use plus or minus signs. A +200 line returns KSh25,960 profit on a KSh12,980 bet. A –150 line means you must stake KSh19,470 to win KSh12,980. This format pops up in NFL markets but you’ll also see it for soccer props.
